         At Crosby High School we will do our best to:

$1Ø  Provide a fulfilling curriculum led by experienced, quality teachers who have high expectations of all pupils at whatever their level of ability.

$1Ø  Teach your child with regard to their particular learning need or learning difference, helping and encouraging them to make progress academically and socially.

$1Ø  Provide up to date resources and maintain a positive environment for learning, encouraging your child to work to the best of their ability.

$1Ø  Set homework regularly according to our homework policy (English and Maths every week).

$1Ø  Communicate regularly on all aspects of your child’s education, progress, attendance and welfare.

$1Ø  Provide a safe, well ordered and caring environment in which all pupils are respected,

encouraging qualities of self discipline, courtesy and responsibility.

$1Ø  Provide an open and welcoming environment for families and ensure that your

     knowledge, expertise and opinions are valued.

$1Ø  Encourage all pupils to attend school regularly and punctually.

$1Ø  Reward and record good performance, progress and behaviour, providing a clear framework for discipline.

$1Ø  Ensure sanctions and the use of our Behaviour Policy are followed fairly for all pupils.

$1Ø  Provide pupils with a variety of enrichment and extra-curricular activities.

$1Ø  Work with and access outside agencies as required.

      As Parents/Carers we will do our best to:

 

  • Take an active interest in my child’s education, encouraging him/her to have a positive attitude to school and to take an active part in the full life of the school.
  • Encourage my child to do his/her best, recognising and praising the progress he/she makes.
  • Support the high expectations of learning, including support for the homework process.
  • Support the high expectations of standards of behaviour and the school’s approach to discipline, accepting responsibility for my child’s behaviour.
  • Send my child to school regularly, on time and in full uniform ( especially black school shoes.)
  • Respond to the requirement by law that there are no applications for holidays in term time unless there are exceptional circumstances.
  • Attend parent’s evenings and other school events.
  • Keep the school informed about any absences or problems which may affect my child’s learning or progress.
  • Support the Behaviour and Attendance policy which links unauthorised absence to loss of end of term rewards trips.
  • Ensure my child participates in all activities unless there is medical evidence why any activity is not possible.
  • Understand that my child will be liable for any loss or damage to school property, buildings and equipment.

        As pupils we will do our best to:

$1ü  Be  ready and willing to listen and join  in all learning opportunities offered.

$1ü  Work hard with a “can do” attitude.

$1ü  Complete homework on time and to the best of my ability.

$1ü  Be polite and co-operative to everyone in my school community.

$1ü  Be safe and considerate to others.

$1ü  Respect everyone’s property and my school environment.

$1ü  Follow the school rules and be responsible for my own actions.

$1ü  Attend school regularly, in uniform and on time.

$1ü  Join in as many extra activities and clubs as I can.
