Headteachers Welcome
Hello and welcome to our website where I hope you will find out all you need to know about Crosby High School.
My name is Toni Oxton-Grant and I feel very proud and privileged to be the Headteacher of this wonderful school. We are a school that is very pro-active in all we do for the benefit of the pupils who attend here. In the last 3 years we have extended our school site with the addition of four new classrooms, a staff room and intervention rooms and a purpose built sports hall. We had a successful Ofsted inspection in March 2014 (which you can read from the website) and even though it is an achievement to be rated as “Good” I do not want to stop our drive to improve and as a school we are aiming for the “Outstanding” rating next time we are inspected (usually every three years.) I am committed to ensuring your son or daughter receives high quality teaching in all subjects and that they are constantly supported to make progress so they can realise their full potential in all areas of their development: academic, physical, emotional, spiritual, moral, social and independence. We are committed to our whole school motto;
Crosby High School is a warm, friendly and caring school and this atmosphere is due to excellent relationships between all members of our community, all of whom are committed to this school. We have a fantastic staff team who work together to provide the best opportunities for your children.
At Crosby High we plan the curriculum around the needs of the children. We ensure the curriculum is broad and balanced but also accessible and relevant so your child can make progress from whatever their starting point. At the beginning of each term you will receive a “curriculum map” which informs you of the topics your son/daughter will be studying. At the end of each term you will receive a progress report showing you if your son/daughter is on target with their learning.
We are committed to working closely with you the parents or carers, as we firmly believe that strong home/school relationships foster the highest levels of success for pupils. I would like to assure you that we have an “open door” policy so please feel free to come to school with any problems or issues and we will always try to help you. We want your child to benefit from the five years they spend with us, leaving our school as a mature young man or woman who is prepared for the next stage in their life or education.
Welcome to Crosby High School, we hope your son or daughter is very happy here. I encourage you to take advantage of our website and visit all the pages in order to learn more about us.
