Welcome to Base 4

Hello everyone, and a very warm welcome to Base 1's class page! I'm Mrs Lamb and I'm so excited to be teaching your children this year. We have lots of fun and exciting things planned - from creative projects to hands-on learning adventures. 

I can't wait to get to know each of the children and watch them learn, grow and shine throughout the year.

Recent Highlights - Autumn 1 

Literacy focus: Room on the Broom. We have been enjoying the story Room on the Broom by Julie Donaldson! The children have been exploring the characters, re telling the story and creating their own magical broomstick adventures.

Science focus: Our Base 1 explorers have been having a stellar time learning all about space! The children have been very crafty, making their own planets, visiting the museum to discover more about the universe and even baking moon-shaped treats to learn about the different phases of the moon.

Maths Focus: This half Term, our Base 1 mathematicians have been exploring money! The children have been identifying coins, playing "shop" to practice using them and counting money.

Learning outside the classroom: Trip to the pumpkin patch to choose our own pumpkin. Trip to the World Museum.
